Letter: Hoping for unity and a fruitful existence

Despite possessing a sanguine personality, I have experienced sadness, since January. My physician suggested I read too much  guilty as charged. The national news has gone from bad to worse. Friends tell me: “Don’t worry, this won’t affect you,” but I am not an island in the stream. The Opinion section helps allay my fears.
