US kills ‘at least 5’ ISIS thugs in Syria in response to insider attack that gunned down American troops: ‘It was very successful’

The president vowed “very serious retaliation” to Saturday’s ambush, in which U.S. Iowa National Guard members Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres Tover, 25, and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard, 29, along with interpreter Ayad Mansoor Sakat, 54, were killed when an attacker opened fire on their patrol in the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra.
