(by Supriya Yelimeli) – Three women were arrested for shoplifting more than $2,500 in
merchandise on Saturday, Napa police reported.

Police received a report at about 4:45 p.m. that suspects had shoplifted at Kohl’s on 1116 First Street. They said the suspects were not at the scene when they arrived.

Twenty minutes later, a Polo Ralph Lauren outlet store about two miles away reported an attempted shoplifting with suspects who matched the description from Kohl’s. They also gave police a description of the suspects’ vehicle.

Nike and Zumiez stores then also reported shoplifting, according to police.

Police said they located the suspects’ vehicle on state Highway 29 near state Highway 221.

San Francisco residents Debrina Esponiza, Shannon Hill and Britney Bynum were arrested and booked in the Napa County Jail.

All of the stolen merchandise was recovered, police said.
