Pleasant Valley advances past Chico High in opening round of NSCIF softball playoffs

After two seasons with no section championship due to the pandemic, the Panthers and the Vikings faced off once more in the NSCIF playoffs Tuesday. Pleasant Valley (17-7) defeated Chico High (13-13-1) 4-1 on the Vikings’ home field Tuesday and now advances to the NSCIF D-III championship Thursday, where they will take on the No. 2 seed Foothill (13-4).
