(by Dave Brooksher) – Police say an injured man found late Friday night at an Oakland BART station may have been stabbed in Berkeley and fled the scene by train.

Officers responding to the MacArthur BART station at 10:38 p.m. on report of a stabbing did locate a man with an injury to his back – but the victim did not cooperate with their investigation or tell them how he’d gotten hurt.

The victim was transported to a hospital, but information about his current condition was not immediately available.

Police determined that he was attacked somewhere in Berkeley, then he got on the train and rode it to Oakland. Further details were not immediately available.
