(by Peter Fournier) – Concord police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Concord man who was last seen in rural Sacramento County almost one week ago.

Police said David Kempker was last seen in the Sherman Island area during the early morning hours of Monday. His family reported him missing the next day.

Kempker’s truck was located by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday on a road off of state Highway 160, but police said after extensive efforts by search and rescue teams, Kempker wasn’t found.

Police list Kempker as a 6-foot-tall white male with short blonde hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Concord Police Detective Kevin Giacoletto at (925) 671-3040. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call (925) 603-5836.
