(by Jeff Shuttleworth) – A woman who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in West Oakland early Friday morning was identified by the Alameda County coroner’s bureau today as 43-year-old Tanya Peterson.

Peterson was struck and killed in the 3200 block of San Pablo Avenue in a collision reported at 2:08 a.m. Friday.
The driver who hit Peterson fled from the scene and is still at large.

Oakland police haven’t released additional information about the collision.

The coroner didn’t list a city of residence for Peterson.
