Alcohol a factor in double-fatal accident near Corning, CHP says
A Gerber man and a teenage boy from Corning were killed in an early morning single-vehicle accident Sunday on Interstate 5 just north of Liberal Avenue. Killed were Daniel A. Rodriguez Romero, 25 of Gerber, along with a 13-year-old boy from Corning. His name has not been released. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol office in Red Bluff.
