Letter: Shelter hasn’t led to influx of homeless people

“Proposals such as creating additional sanctioned campgrounds offer temporary relief but come with risks. These sites may provide shelter and stability for some, but they could also attract more unhoused individuals to the area potentially exacerbating the issue.” (From “Editor For A Day” in Chico E-R, Jan. 22.) Chico’s Genesis created many more shelter beds.
