San Mateo mayor faces potential recall following messy mayoral appointment

Those pushing for Mayor Amourence Lee’s recall point to her behavior as mayor, as well as her plans for the development of the city as some of the driving forces behind the campaign. Lee responded by saying the city should “stay focused on addressing unmet needs,” rather than spending funds that could cost as much as $1 million.
